|
|
As of February, 2009 - subject to change at any time
Desire has implemented a system where 8 beds are reserved daily for rental. This means that guests who prefer to pay ($20 US per day or $100 US for the week) can have a bed reserved the day(s) they wish. Those who paid for a bed in the 8 bed rental system can come down at anytime or can leave the beds for as long as long as they wish as they have rented/reserved it for the day or the week.
Out of the 42 beds they have, only 8 are used for this system. All the others are the same as before, first come first serve basis, as guests wake up and head down to the beach they go with the beach concierge who will let them know which beds are available and he will assign them a bed. Guests can use the bed all day, half day, 1 hour if they want, however if they leave the bed with there belongings on it for more than 2 hours, the bed will be cleared and freed for someone else to use avoiding that guests reserve beds with personal belongings. The 2 hour grace period allows enough time to go for breakfast or lunch and come back without losing the bed they were assigned. |

| During check in, this was pitched. Can't see the need to spend a $100 for a bed. There are so many of them, I don't think its that much of a problem. We were told that they are priority for passion suites, members, and people who reserve them, but we did not find many people buying them. Just a way to get more money out of you. |

| If I understand this correctly - if you have a passion suite you can "reserve" a bed - is that correct? |

| When you book and pay the big $$ for a Passion Suite one of the perqs is that you automatically have a reserved beach bed that comes as part of the suite package. |

| Thank you for that information. We were not aware of that but are happy to hear it. We rarely take vacations so when we do we indulge ourselves. We spent the big $$$ but were not sure if a reserved bed was a perk. Glad to know it is. |
